Purpose
This disclosure describes risks of the products Race is built to offer. It is not a list of every risk and it is not advice about your circumstances. Race Markets Ltd does not owe you a duty to recommend a trade.
Capital at risk
You can lose some or all of the money you commit. Do not trade with money you cannot afford to lose, or with money needed for living costs. A stop instruction is not a guarantee that you will exit at that price.
Leverage and margin
Leverage lets a smaller margin control a larger position. Losses are magnified in the same way as gains. If losses consume margin, the position may be reduced or closed, including at a worse price than the last one you saw.
Gaps and liquidity
Prices can jump when a market is closed or thin. You may be unable to close a position, or only at a much worse price. Spreads widen in fast or illiquid markets. A displayed quote can be withdrawn before your order arrives.
Equities, forex, commodities and crypto
Equities can fall to zero if an issuer fails, and can gap on earnings or corporate events. Forex is quoted in pairs and often uses leverage. Commodities can be volatile around weather, politics and storage. Crypto trades on weekends, can gap, and may have fragile venues and uncertain legal treatment. None of these is a reason, by itself, to buy or sell.
Past performance
Past performance, a backtest, or another customer’s result does not predict your result. A strategy that worked in a sample can fail when costs, gaps and size are included.
Simulated data and paper trading
Figures marked Simulated / Demo on this website are samples. Paper trading uses virtual funds and does not send orders to a market. A practice profit is not real and is not evidence you will profit live.
Technology and operational risk
Software, networks, venues and data feeds fail. An order may be delayed, duplicated or rejected. You are responsible for confirming status inside the account rather than assuming a screen updated.
No advice
Education, calculators, charts, screeners and any assistant explain mechanics. They do not consider your finances, tax or objectives. You decide whether to trade.
Regulatory status
Do not treat Race Markets Ltd as authorised by the DFSA, the SCA, or any other regulator unless a licence number is shown in the footer of this website. If that line is absent, no such claim is being made. A contract choice of DIFC law is not an authorisation.
Suitability
These products are not suitable for everyone. If you do not understand leverage, margin and the chance of a total loss, do not trade. Consider independent advice from someone authorised to give it where you live.
